Additional Information:

This 13 Moon Calendar is based on the lunar synodic month - the amount of time it takes the Moon to orbit the Earth and return to the same phase. The months flip on the New Moon to allow you to stay in tune with the lunar rhythms. Month names are traditionally from Native American and Celtic origin. Also includes highlighted Astronomical Events and times each month - like meteor showers, eclipses, and conjunctions - so you can stay connected to what's going on in the night skies.

How to Use:
Traditional calendars flip on the first day of the month, however with this Lunar Calendar, each month starts and ends on the New Moon. The Traditional dates of the month are listed at the top of the page along with the Moon name (for example the "Wolf Moon" occurs between Jan 11 and Feb 9, 2024). The Full Moon occurs exactly in the middle of each Lunar Month. Therefore pay attention to the phases of the Moon to know when to flip to the next month!

Astronomical event dates are highlighted, and include: equinoxes and solstices; predicted meteor showers (with moon phase); planetary, stellar, and deep sky object conjunctions (especially interesting events marked with !); eclipses; and lunar occultations. Conjunction closeness is listed in degrees (deg). Star brightness is listed in magnitude (mag). Also includes full, new, and quarter moon phase dates and times. Timezone is (MST/MDT].
